Grain Elevators

The grain elevators at the Port Colborne entrance to the Welland Canal sit alongside the Sugarloaf Marina. This is not a natural fit. Grain elevators are hardly things of natural beauty, which boat owers would enjoy more. And those grain elevators must metaphorically look down at the marina with interest, and think it would make prime real estate for industrial use. It’s a dichotomy.

These two just don’t belong beside each other. And yet, somehow, they fit. They get along together.

Wouldn’t the world be a wonderful place if humans could do the same?
