The Image Of The Week from Somewhere In Niagara is this derelict barn which caught my eye while driving around. I presume it to be derelict, as a tree is clearly growing inside it where the wall has collapsed. It may still be in use, but the barn has clearly seen better days. Haven’t we all?
The sunlight on the roof contrasts beautifully with the shadows inside the roof on the open side of the barn. The whole building is framed with green and blue. Which for me symbolizes one of the great truisms of life. We are all here for a short time, a blink of an eye in world terms. Nature thrives as this human landmark succumbs slowly but with dignity to the ravages of time. Make the most of your time in the sun, my friends.
