I rushed out of the house one morning. Foregoing my usual stop at the drive-thru because time was pressing and the sun waits for nobody, I quickly drove to good a spot from which to observe this beautiful sunrise. It’s a spot I know and to which I return often, and I made it just in time.
The sunrise was filtered by the trees on the horizon. Light played gently across the field of wheat, swaying in the morning breeze. A magical moment. After capturing this image, I took a moment to enjoy the stillness. Then drew a deep breath and went back to the drive-thru to get my morning beverage on the way home. After which I was ready to face the day. Sunrises always make me feel good.
