At the meeting today I was pleased to reveal the new logo I designed for the Port Colborne Optimist Club.
This new logo better aligns with Optimist International branding and will make our brand more identifiable within the Optimist communities around the world and with the public. The new logo will be phased in to replace the previous one over time. I have already updated the Club web site and social media pages with it. I will be updating our documentation, starting with internal items such as letterheads, meeting minutes and agendas, and then working it into and redesigning our marketing materials, membership application forms, brochures, and future posters and flyers.
The new logo had its first outing at a recent CENON event, where it reportedly received admiration and praise from attendees. The pull-up design features the new logo incorporated into a more complex design that features the club motto and the Optimist Creed, as well as a scannable QR code to take interested parties directly to the club web site to learn more, a feature I like to use on items which will be displayed in areas with a high footfall of passersby, such as conferences and trade shows.
This pull-up will grace all future PC Optimist events. The image shows me standing beside the pull-up display at the meeting tonight, wearing my Design Guy t-shirt. It seemed appropriate.
