A Favourite Place

I think I will be up late cataloguing photos. This one is a black and white treatment of the St. Johns’ Conservation Area fishing lake from last year. It’s in Niagara, Ontario, a 30 minute drive if we stop at the drive-thru.

This is a favourite place for us, when the weather is warmer. We like to hike the surrounding ridge and various trails here, though my long suffering wife may just be letting me drag her over hill and dale in search of good photos and a great workout – my camera bag when full weighs 18 kilos, a shade under 40 pounds. Plus tripod, and drone if I take those. I think sometimes she just tags along to make sure I’m OK. I don’t like to burden her so she has to listen to me puffing and panting with all that gear along those ridges. I like the exercise, OK? 🙂

Last year, though, we mainly walked around the lake and sat, and watched turtles and dragonflies. And got this drone shot which I edited to taste. Prints are available.

St. Johns has something for everyone, of every age. Great place. Maybe I’ll see you up on the ridge. Say Hi!
